Traveling to Vélo Ventoux
Flying into Marseille airport, taking the Train / TGV to Avignon and Driving via the A7 autoroute are how the majority of our guests get to us here in Provence.
Below is some practical information on the best ways to get here.
Flying
The vast majority of our guests fly into Marseille airport and we have a transfer service to get you from the airport to the Vélo Ventoux accommodation. Transfer time is approximately 1h30m and there is a price list for the transfers below.
There are many direct flights from the UK to Marseille with two flights a day with BA from Heathrow and low-cost operators such as Easyjet and Ryanair flying from Gatwick, Stansted, Bristol and Edinburgh.
For long-haul there are also many connecting flights into Marseille from most European hubs such as Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
The Train
Avignon TGV station and Avignon central are just an hour away from us and we can transfer you from Avignon to Puymeras.
From the UK the Eurostar runs regularly from London to Paris and Lille where you can change to get the TGV to Avignon.
In summer there is a direct Eurostar service from London to Marseille which stops at Avignon Central.
If travelling with your bike please check the Eurostar current T&Cs for traveling with a bike box/bag before booking train tickets.
Driving
If driving from the UK, from the Channel ports and Eurotunnel we’re between 9 and 10 hours drive via the A26 and the A7. Please contact us for detailed driving directions.

Travel - Quick Questions
Yes, we can transport you and your bike box/bag from the airport to your destination.
A Vélo Ventoux representative will be waiting for you at the arrivals door. At Avignon TGV we will wait at the bottom of the ramp from the platform. we will display a Vélo Ventoux card.
We also make sure we have exchanged mobile phone numbers before you travel.
There are rarely problems on the TGV but you definitely need to check the current terms for traveling with your bike on the Eurostar. They seem to change quite regularly and the last time we checked, bikes need to be checked in 24 hours prior to your departurewhich can be very inconvenient.
Yes, there is car parking at the Vélo Ventoux accommodation.
Yes, we have CO2 canisters here which we give you on a sale or return basis depending on whether you use them or not.
